Dammond is a 20-year-old young man who has lived in 15 foster homes since the age of 10. He is mentored by Freedom Church co-founder Mark and his wife Fran.

A few years ago, struggling to manage his anger, Dammond found himself in an altercation with a school official and was arrested and tried as an adult at the age of 17. He ended up in jail and later arrived at ATC. It was there that he was introduced to Freedom Church.

Soon after, Dammond made the decision to be baptized which also demonstrated his sincerity to change his life. He wanted to go to college, so Mark and Fran helped him get his GED.

In addition, with the help of the Child Protection Services and Goodwill, Dammond is now a freshman at ACC and works part time at a law office. He is working hard to get a business and counseling degree and help troubled teens.

Finally, Dammond currently attends church with Mark’s family on Sunday mornings. In kind, Mark and Fran often attend Dammond’s school functions. There is much to celebrate with this young man. His life is a testament of God’s mercy and grace.
